A Brief Profile of Brazil

With more than 200 million people, Brazil is the 5th largest country in the world by area and population. It has more territory than the continental United States. Brazil is also highly urbanized, with 84 out of 100 Brazilians living in cities. Brazil has 115 cities with a population of a quarter million or more. Its largest city, Sao Paulo, has a population in the greater metropolitan area of more than 20 million people.

The U.S. has roughly 300 million people and more than 50,000 self-storage facilities. By comparison, Brazil has roughly 100 self-storage facilities -- in the entire nation.

The opportunities for the self-storage industry in Brazil are vast.
