John Scheibe, CEO and General Manager

John has a wide breadth of professional experience. This includes a background in real estate and numerous start-ups. He also has extensive experience working in Brazil, including doing market analysis, advertising and commercial real-estate there. In addition to Brazil and the United States, John has also worked in Mexico and the United States as a journalist.

Born in the United States, John was raised in Brazil by American parents. He later attended the University of California, Davis, where he received a degree in International Economics with a focus on emerging nations and their markets.
John is fluent in Portuguese, English and Spanish.
John has lived and worked in Brazil for more than 20 years. He has a deep and nuanced understanding of Brazil, its culture, its people and their mindset. He has numerous personal, social, business as well as government ties in Brazil. 

He is enthusiastic about the future of self storage in Brazil and is well vested in this venture. His willingness and capacity to manage and operate this business, ensures that it will be a successful enterprise.

Mara Alexandru, Project Manager

Mara was born and raised in Southern California. She is a graduate of St. John's University, New York. Mara has worked in commercial and residential real-estate sales in New York and Florida. She also worked as Project Manager for Commercial Management Systems (CMS), a Florida-based real estate development firm. CMS developed much of Ocean Drive in Miami Beach-known today as the "Art Deco Riviera". 
Mara also has founded numerous start-ups as well as owning and operating her own businesses. 
She has been with Go Self Storage Brazil since its early stages in 2011. 
Mara has traveled extensively throughout Europe and Latin America. She is fluent in Italian, Spanish and has a growing fluency in Portuguese.  She also speaks Romanian.

Stephen D. Scheibe, Marketing and Development Manager

Born in the U.S., Steve grew up in Brazil. He later founded and operated a manufacturing company there as well as a consulting business. Steve has a deep and nuanced understanding of Brazil, its people and culture as well as its business climate.

In addition to being a businessman, Steve worked as a planner for the Brazilian government. He has extensive contacts both inside and outside of government there. Steve also has considerable experience working in San Diego and Mexico where he established and operated a sales and distribution center from 1992 to 2005.

Steve is a Phi Beta Kappa and Summa cum laude graduate of Wesleyan University. He also holds advanced degrees from the University of California, Los Angeles.
